The Australian migration advice profession sets high standards and Australian Registered Migration Agents are considered to be amongst the most professional in the world.
Registered Migration Agents are expected to have, and maintain, high levels of knowledge in Australian migration law and procedure and conduct themselves in accordance with the Code of Conduct (the Code).
The Code details Migration Agents professional and ethical standards and is administered by the Office of the Migration Agents Regulation Authority (OMARA).
The Code is legally provided for in Section 314 of the Migration Act 1958, and is prescribed in Schedule 2 Regulation 8 of the Migration Agents Regulations 1998.
