Harmony Day: Many Stories- One Australia

I often hear transferees’ travel tales and am impressed by how far they’ve come to finally land in Australia. For most transferees, I am humbled at how much they enjoy living in our country.
Why not celebrate expatriates by getting down to the many Harmony Day celebrations occurring around Australia? Harmony Day was organised by our friends at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship and is a backdrop to the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. It’s a day where everyone belongs and pays respect to Australia’s multicultural population.
Here are a handful of the many events happening around the nation:
Sydney
Sydney Royal Easter Show: Thursday, 21 March 2013
The Sydney Royal Easter Show will celebrate Harmony Day with a number of performances on the TVS Stage:

Melbourne
Federation Story is a free exhibition at Melbourne’s Federation Square that will uncover each person’s individual Australian Story. Federation Square is inviting everyone who have lived for a period of time in Australia to share their stories of what being Australian is for them. After dusk on the 20th and 21st March, some major Australian buildings will be coloured orange to reflect Harmony Day.  These will be:
