It’s that time of year again, footy season is back!
With Expat’s head offices conveniently situated in East Melbourne, just a stone’s throw from the MCG, we get to enjoy all the excitement the Australian Football brings. On a Thursday and Friday afternoon, we see the streets littered with eager fans making their way to the G, kitted out in their team’s colors.
In round 1, we saw Freemantle, GWS, St Kilda, Brisbane, the Western Bulldogs, Hawthorn, Point Adelaide, Geelong and Richmond emerge victorious. It’s the beginning of the season though, so no hope is lost for the other teams.
The start of the football season, this year, has unfortunately found itself coinciding with major PTV construction. Many train lines are affected and have been replaced with buses. This means the commute to the football for many fans will be longer than usual.
We expect, despite this disruption, footy fanatics will be out in full force every weekend to cheer on their side. Good luck to all the teams for the rest of the season!
