New visas soon available for Singaporeans into Australia
Two new visas have been announced to facilitate the arrival of Singaporeans into Australia.
Working Holiday Visa Arrangement
Coming into effect on 31 August 2017, this work and holiday visa enables Singaporeans under 30 years of age, who meet the education and English-language requirements, to live and work in Australia for up to 12 months. This will be opened to a maximum of 500 young Singaporeans per year, between the ages of 18 and 30, who have a polytechnic diploma or university degree, or the equivalent of two full-time years tertiary study.
Multi-year visitor visa
Singaporeans will be able to apply for a new, long-term, multiple-entry visa (Subclass 600) starting 1 January 2018. This will facilitate entry into Australia as it will allow Singaporeans to visit Australia for up to three months at any one time, over a six-year period, with only a single application made.
